With a playoff win on the line, Thrall rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Elkhart Elks. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five games in a row.
Miley Pokorny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Thrall let Selena Quintanilla and Briana Jarosek run wild. Quintanilla went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Jarosek went 2-for-3 with two runs.
