Basketball Recap: Troy Comes Up Short

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 74-43 loss at the hands of the Ontario Christian Knights.

Leading Ontario Christian to victory were Mason Salazar and Cameron Herron. Salazar shot 56% from the field en route to 23 points, while Herron almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Salazar is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cheeko Bermudez also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ontario Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Looking ahead, Troy is taking a road trip to square off against Fullerton at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Ontario Christian, they will take on San Marino at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
