Softball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones blew Liberty Christian Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Liberty Christian Academy got their revenge. The Trojans fell just short of the Heat by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 7th.

Riley Murphy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Jones has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Jones will face off against Pamlico County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
