Basketball Game Preview: Maple Mountain Golden Eagles vs. Cedar Valley Aviators

The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles will take on the Cedar Valley Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Maple Mountain is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Orem and fell 64-37. The contest marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Spanish Fork.

Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Maple Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
