Baseball Recap: Grainger Comes Up Short

Halls hit Grainger with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 7-6. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Carver Turley was cooking despite his team's loss, earning one RBI and three runs. Grainger is 6-3 when Turley posts two or more runs, but 7-14 otherwise. Josh Walker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grainger's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Halls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
