Football Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Discovery Canyon Thunder, falling 48-8. The Terrors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Messiah Rogan threw for 68 yards and one TD on only five passes. Kymani Dotison was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards. On the ground, Douglas Sanchious rushed for 32 yards.

Devon Baker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 147 yards and three scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry for Discovery Canyon. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Baker a new career-high.

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Discovery Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 25-24 loss against Harrison on the 7th. As for Discovery Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 56-21 defeat against Pueblo South on the 7th.
