Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Payson Lions. The Bruins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Mountain View took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Payson, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will head out to face off against Orem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Payson, they will take on Cedar Valley in a tournament on Friday.
