Recap: Hinkley Thunderbirds vs. Palmer Terrors
This season hasn't been kind to The Hinkley Thunderbirds, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were outmatched by Palmer at home and fell 42-7. Hinkley lost against Palmer in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-8 score last time.
Arvell Amos was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for eight yards and a touchdown.
Hinkley's loss was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Gateway and 2-8 Vista PEAK Prep (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.8% over those games). As for Palmer, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.
Hinkley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palmer also has no future games currently scheduled.
