Baseball Recap: Centennial Has No Trouble Against Brentwood Academy

On Monday, the Centennial Cougars made easy work of the Brentwood Academy Eagles and carried off a 12-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Connor Gray looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Ethan Malinowski and Mateo Bruzzese did most of the damage at the plate: Malinowski scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3, while Bruzzese scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Brentwood Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Centennial Cougars face off against Grace Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brentwood Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goodpasture Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
