Basketball Game Preview: First Presbyterian Day Vikings vs. Southland Academy Raiders

The First Presbyterian Day Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Southland Academy Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

First Presbyterian Day came up short against John Milledge Academy on Friday, falling 69-48. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Southland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Southwest Georgia Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since December 10, 2024.

First Presbyterian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Southland Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.
