Basketball Recap: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors
After flying high against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders last Thursday, the Clarendon Hall Saints came back down to earth. Clarendon Hall took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Clarendon Hall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Andrew Jackson Academy's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from McKinley Beard, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Beard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Rileigh Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Clarendon Hall's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Clarendon Hall will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Andrew Jackson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. As for they, they will head out on the road to take on Clarendon Hall at 6:00 p.m.
