            Baseball Recap: Avon Park Red Devils vs. LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls        
        
		
        
        
            Avon Park had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt LaBelle on Tuesday. The Avon Park Red Devils were the clear victor by  a  9-1 margin over the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Red Devils have posted  against the Cowboys/Cowgirls since February 18, 2020.
 Eric Harrison made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Harrison was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Cam Engler was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jace King, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.

Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for LaBelle, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Avon Park has already played their next matchup,  a  12-1  win against Lake Placid on the 20th. As for LaBelle, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  6-2  defeat against IMG Academy Blue on the 25th.
