Baseball Recap: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. Baylor Red Raiders

McCallie's hitters rose to the challenge against a Red Raiders pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.38 runs allowed on Wednesday. The McCallie Blue Tornado sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Baylor Red Raiders. This was a revenge contest for McCallie, as the team was forced to settle for an 8-3 defeat when these two played last Tuesday.

David Stonecipher looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
