Softball Recap: Toppenish Comes Up Short

Toppenish was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 22-0 to the Selah Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 20-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Toppenish saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Moni Switzler-Jim, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Toppenish's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Selah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Toppenish by a score of 24-0 later that day.
