Volleyball Recap: Cypress Christian Takes a Loss

Cypress Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Dwyer Panthers.

ADDY KOMA paced Cypress Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. KOMA got some help from LILAH JOHNSON and her 11 assists. Finally, SADE FAYELE kept Cypress Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Dwyer found their leader in sophomore Payton Lotz, who had 17 digs. With that strong performance, Lotz is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

Cypress Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Dwyer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Cypress Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Bayside on the 30th. As for Dwyer, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Elizabethtown on the 30th.
