Softball Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. Winchester Red & Black
Lexington is 10-0 against Winchester since May of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Lexington Minutemen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Winchester Red & Black at 10:00 a.m. Lexington will be strutting in after a victory while Winchester will be coming in after a defeat.
Lexington took care of business in their home opener on April 1st (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 13-1 margin over Watertown.
Meanwhile, Winchester fell victim to a tough 22-6 loss at the hands of Woburn Memorial on Saturday. Winchester has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Campbell Henning and Carys Gugliotta stepped up to the plate in a big way. Henning scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Gugliotta went 1-for-2 with three RBI and a triple. Julia Legere was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
