Baseball Game Preview: Middle Early College Kats vs. International Prep at Grover Presidents

The Middle Early College Kats are taking a road trip to square off against the International Prep at Grover Presidents at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middle Early College's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Tuesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Middle Early College and South Park finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 tie.

Meanwhile, International Prep at Grover strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against McKinley by a score of 6-2.

Jeremias Torres made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Adam Alagna was excellent, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Adrian Fuentes, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

With that tie, Middle Early College's record moves to 1-2-3. As for International Prep at Grover, their record is now 3-0.

Middle Early College might still be hurting after the 18-0 defeat they got from International Prep at Grover when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Kats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
