Basketball Recap: Creekside Comes Up Short

Creekside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 89-36 loss at the hands of the Pace Academy Knights. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Knights are ranked 16th).

Creekside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Daylen Jones, who went 10 of 23 on his way to 25 points and three steals, and Maurice Anderson, who posted eight points and three steals. The matchup was Jones' eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Pace Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Creekside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-41 victory against Carver on the 12th. As for Pace Academy, they will head out to challenge Midtown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midtown is on a three-game streak of home wins, Pace Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
