Northfield had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Denver East Angels by a score of 10-5. This was payback for the Nighthawks, who suffered a 20-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jackson Taylor looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jack Phiel, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Bader, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Northfield lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver East didn't launched any home runs.

Northfield pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Denver East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Coming up, Northfield will head out to square off against Arvada West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Nighthawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Denver East, they will be playing at home against Conifer at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
