Softball Recap: De La Salle's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

De La Salle won against Landry on Thursday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Cavalier's pitchers stepped up to hand the Booker T. Washington Lions a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cavalier, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for De La Salle and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4-2.

De La Salle has already played their next matchup, an 8-7 loss against Pope John Paul II on the 5th. As for Booker T. Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Ursuline Academy on the 8th.
