Softball Recap: Jefferson Wins Going Away Against Harleton

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Longview, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Harleton Wildcats 14-8. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Harleton is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will be taking part in a tournament against Hooks at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harleton, they will take on New Diana in a tournament on Friday. Harleton has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
