Soccer Game Preview: Dickinson vs. Clear Springs

Dickinson is 0-8 against Clear Springs since February of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. The Dickinson Gators will head out to take on the Clear Springs Chargers at 12:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Dickinson came up short against Brazoswood and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 316th in Texas, while the Buccaneers are ranked 27th in Texas).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Clear Springs made sure to put some goals up on the board against Clear Falls on Thursday. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 4-2. Considering the Chargers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Clear Springs now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Dickinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Dickinson suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Clear Springs in their previous matchup on February 6th. Can Dickinson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
