Soccer Game Preview: Corsicana vs. Midlothian Heritage

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Corsicana face off against the Midlothian Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Corsicana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Midlothian Heritage better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Corsicana really gets things going. Corsicana's defense stepped up to hand Kaufman a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Chris Velasquez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage entered their tilt with Red Oak on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hawks.

Corsicana's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Midlothian Heritage, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Corsicana came out on top in a nail-biter against Midlothian Heritage in their previous matchup on February 4th, sneaking past 3-2. Will Corsicana repeat their success, or does Midlothian Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
