Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Takes a Loss

On Sunday, the Summit Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Park Hill Trojans and fell 58-49.

Despite the loss, Summit Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mike Thomas III went 9 of 17 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight boards and seven blocks. The contest was Thomas III's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Porter, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Summit Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Park Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Summit Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-62 win against Liberty North on the 30th. As for Park Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-46 victory against KIPP Legacy on the 30th.
