Softball Recap: Tri-County Mustangs vs. Polo Panthers
If Tri-County was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Mercer last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tri-County Mustangs came up short against the Polo Panthers on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Mustangs were red-hot at the plate headed into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior) but the Panthers' pitchers proved too tough.
Tri-County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Polo, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.
Tri-County will head out to challenge Stewartsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Tri-County is facing Stewartsville at the right time seeing as Stewartsville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Polo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
