Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Takes a Loss

Amplus Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Del Sol Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 4th.

Amplus Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.

Isaac Greene paced Amplus Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Greene got some help from Gideon Schelin and his 19 assists. Maxwell Ganley and Blake Taylor kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Amplus Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Del Sol, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 17-12.

As of now, neither Amplus Academy nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
