Softball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Horizon lost against Arizona College Prep last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Huskies came up short against the Knights, falling 12-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Horizon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Valenti, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Valenti also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Arizona College Prep, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon will square off against Basha at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Arizona College Prep, they will take on Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.91 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
