Softball Game Preview: Round Rock Westwood Warriors vs. Round Rock Dragons

Round Rock Westwood is 0-10 against Round Rock since March of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Round Rock Westwood Warriors will square off against the Round Rock Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Round Rock Westwood has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Round Rock Westwood fell victim to Hutto and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Hippos. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Round Rock). They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over McNeil on Tuesday. Considering the Dragons have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Round Rock is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Round Rock Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
