Volleyball Recap: John Yowell Academy Victorious

John Yowell Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day John Yowell Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 19-25, 15-11.

The win got John Yowell Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

John Yowell Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Bethany Community on the 2nd.
