Softball Recap: Johansen Comes Up Short

Johansen was the 11-1 winner over Chavez when they last played one another back in March of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Johansen Vikings came up short against the Chavez Titans on Tuesday, falling 20-3.

Jocelyn Ibanez Soto was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of California Weed, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Johansen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chavez, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Johansen is taking a road trip to square off against Denair at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Chavez will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
