Basketball Recap: Minico Comes Up Short

Minico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a hard 61-43 fall against the Burley Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-48 back in January.

Burley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adalynn Olmos, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Olmos is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Jocelyn Lloyd was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 16 points.

Minico's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Burley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Minico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burley, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Burley Bobcats challenge the Mountain Home Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
