Basketball Game Preview: Cusick Panthers vs. Selkirk Rangers

Cusick is 2-8 against Selkirk since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cusick Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Selkirk Rangers at 6:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cusick faced off against Republic on Saturday. Cusick came up short against Republic, falling 55-31. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Selkirk didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 61-50 win over Northport on Saturday.

Selkirk's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Cusick, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cusick and Selkirk were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Cusick came up empty-handed after a 48-47 loss. Can Cusick avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
