Basketball Game Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Ponaganset Chieftains

The North Kingstown Skippers will face off against the Ponaganset Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Kingstown comes in on 15 and Ponaganset on three.

North Kingstown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 47-40 win over Westerly.

Meanwhile, Ponaganset faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Ponaganset strolled past Barrington with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. The 39-point effort marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

North Kingstown pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Ponaganset, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.

North Kingstown came up short against Ponaganset when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-39. Can North Kingstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
