It was a good run, but Nooksack Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 59-47 to the Mt. Baker Mountaineers. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Nooksack Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Mt. Baker, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Nooksack Valley will head out on the road to square off against Lynden Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lynden Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Mt. Baker, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Oak Harbor at 7:15 p.m.
