On Thursday Boy Blanckenberg struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The effort also marked the fewest walks (one) Blanckenberg has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than five strikeouts. On the year, he has an ERA of 2.30 over 21.3 innings pitched.
