Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Trinity Christian Academy Eagles
Trinity Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Trinity Prep suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Father Lopez at home and fell 49-9.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy was beaten by Pine Ridge 56-29 on Thursday.
Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian Academy had strong showings from Haylee Morelli, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Kaylin Spor, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 55.2% of Trinity Christian Academy's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Trinity Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Prep against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2021 as the team secured a 52-16 win.
