Baseball Recap: Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions vs. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mariemont, Miami Valley Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-3 on Monday.

Gavin French made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Evan Lafferty was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Max Simon, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Miami Valley Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.
