Preview: Oak Hill Rams vs. Hicks Pirates
The Oak Hill Rams will be playing at home against the Hicks Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 429 points over their last six games.
On Tuesday, Oak Hill faced Anacoco in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Oak Hill took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anacoco. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oak Hill in their matchups with Anacoco: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite their defeat, Oak Hill saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Krystina Greene, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Alexis Dyer, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hicks unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Walker, falling 68-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hicks has scored all season.
Oak Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 22-13 record this season. As for Hicks, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-3.
