Basketball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Mark Morris Monarchs, falling 55-24. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Monarchs are ranked 62nd).

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Mark Morris, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will take on Hockinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mark Morris, they will be playing at home against Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mark Morris' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
