Softball Recap: Perrydale Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Perrydale got themselves on the board against Glendale on Monday, but Glendale never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Glendale. Considering Perrydale has won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabelle Arthur was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophie Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mallory Gunther, who earned one RBI and two runs.

The victory (which was Perrydale's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Glendale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

As of now, neither Perrydale nor Glendale have any future games scheduled.
