Football Recap: Clarkston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Clarkston's offense. They were outmatched by the Marist War Eagles and fell 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Angoras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the War Eagles are ranked 47th).

James Lasco was his usual excellent self, punching in one rushing score, while also throwing for 88 yards and one touchdown for Marist. Hayes Rollauer also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Clarkston's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Marist, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Clarkston will square off against rival Druid Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marist is set to face off against their familiar foe Lithonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the War Eagles 8.1, the Bulldogs 9.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
