With a playoff win on the line, Saraland rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Benjamin Russell Wildcats 38-21. The Spartans' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Perhaps the best among them was Jamison Roberts, who threw for 300 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 49 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Harris also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Another thorn in Benjamin Russell's side was Ayindae Pugh, who picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.
Benjamin Russell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cederian Morgan, who picked up 182 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Preyear, who threw for 283 yards and two TDs. With that strong performance, Morgan is now averaging an impressive 101.4 receiving yards per game. A healthy portion of Preyear's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) also went to B.J. Bedgood.
Saraland's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Benjamin Russell, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-2.
