St. Vincent de Paul's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for St. Vincent de Paul after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-1 to Santa Rosa. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly five runs.

St. Vincent de Paul saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Hankins, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Healdsburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against Analy, falling 15-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered since May 18, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Healdsburg and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

St. Vincent de Paul came out on top in a nail-biter against Healdsburg in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Vincent de Paul since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
