Volleyball Recap: Hoke County Takes a Loss

If Hoke County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Alpha Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bucks lost 3-0 to the Village Christian Academy Knights on Monday. The Bucks have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hoke County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-13.

Savion Kinston paced Hoke County's offense, picking up four kills. Kinston got some help from Heiden Small and his six assists. Finally, Kinston was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Hoke County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Village Christian Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

As of now, neither Hoke County nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
