Lompoc came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Cabrillo Conquistadores with a 60-55 win. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 817th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lompoc's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Cabrillo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Atascadero the next time they take the court. Lompoc will host Atascadero at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Cabrillo will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
