Baseball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hazlehurst two weeks ago, Canton came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Ridgeland Titans on Tuesday, falling 19-1. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Canton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vincent Powell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ridgeland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

While Canton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
