After a string of three wins, Dyersburg's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fayette Ware Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Wildcats are ranked 22nd).

Fayette Ware found their leader in freshman Kylon Terry, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 15 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Terry's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Cash Williams was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Dyersburg's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Fayette Ware, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-5.

Looking ahead, Dyersburg will square off against Munford on Monday. Munford will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Dyersburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fayette Ware, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Fayette Ware Wildcats take on Kirby Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. They will be up against Kirby's rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.32 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
