Basketball Recap: Lowell Comes Up Short

Lowell saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by the McCutcheon Mavericks and fell 72-42. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lowell lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ezra Elenbaum, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Roan Vasko, who put up seven points.

McCutcheon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shamar Ray, who had 13 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ray a new career-high in points. Brody Baker was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Lowell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for McCutcheon, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lowell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-49 win against Logansport on the 27th. As for McCutcheon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-55 loss against Goshen on the 28th.
