Baseball Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

Richmond might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Lexington who claimed the real prize. The Spartans fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 8-7. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 20-7.

This is the second loss in a row for Richmond and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Lexington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Looking ahead, Richmond will square off against Lafayette County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Holden at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
