Softball Recap: Comstock Park Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wyoming

Comstock Park extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 11-4 to the Wyoming Wolves. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Panthers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Wyoming, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-9. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

For Wyoming's part, Vanessa Richardson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Danika Rawls was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Teagyn Ager was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comstock Park will face off against Fruitport at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wyoming, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thornapple Kellogg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
